Build a five-row text banner or turn a local picture into character art. Adjust the width and contrast, then copy or download plain text.
Text banners and image art
Text mode draws A–Z, digits and spaces with a small original bitmap alphabet. Choose a drawing character to change the look. Input is limited to 40 characters; unsupported characters appear as question-mark shapes.
Image mode reads your selected file locally, samples its brightness and maps light and dark areas to a ten-character ramp. Transparent pixels are composited onto white. Choose a smaller width for chat or a larger width for a text file.

Start with a simple, high-contrast subject. Fine details in a photograph often disappear at small character widths. Invert swaps the light and dark mapping; compare both against the background where you will paste it.
Use a monospace font and preserve spaces and newlines. Markdown code blocks usually preserve alignment. The image stays on your device. Input is limited to 5 MiB and 16 megapixels, output to 160 columns and 100 rows; tall images may be reduced to keep their proportions.
